Almost 4 years ago, my husband & I were in search of our first home for us and our new baby daughter.  One Sunday, at an open house in Burlington, we met Joanna Schlansky.  She called us a few days later to re-introduce herself and get an idea of what we were looking for in a home.  I was very hesitant about the whole realtor, house-buying thing. I had told her that to me all realtors are like car salesman, just out to get their commission.  I know it sounds harsh, but this is the impression I had received at previous open houses.  Joanna was nice enough to “laugh” me off & take “care” of us while we searched for that home.  We really wanted to live in Burlington due to the location between our families and were familiar with the area. Joanna took us “under her wing” and helped us through a slow & some times frustrating process of finding and buying a home.  We did eventually find our “first” home with the help of Joanna’s knowledge and help.  Over the years we also stayed in touch and had become good friends.  As time went on, our family grew and we felt like we needed to once again go down that “house buying road” to find a home that would accommodate our family better. 

I called on my friend and trusted realtor to help me with the “dirty” work again! Of course, Joanna was more than willing to help.  This time around, I noticed how much more of a realtor Joanna had become. She was very determined to help us not only buy another home, but also sell the one she originally sold us 3 years prior!  It was a very stressful time for us and Joanna was right there with an ear & shoulder for me to lean on!  With the help, knowledge & persistence of Joanna we were able to not only sell our home but buy another home, which I can now say is our “final” home in a great family neighborhood we had always dreamed of in Burlington!   I don’t think we could have gotten through the house buying process the second time around without the help and assistance of Joanna Schlansky. 

She has proven to me that not every realtor is like a “car salesman”! I not only consider her an excellent realtor, but also a great friend and would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for their new home.
