When my wife and I began our search for a new home our process started by randomly attending open houses to determine geographic areas that we liked and what we could afford.  During one of our visits we met Joanna Schlansky.  We told her upfront that we weren't prepared to purchase that house but were starting to look.  Even though we were not interested in that house, Joanna still spent the next hour and a half, between answering questions for visitors to the open house, speaking with us about all aspects of purchasing a home.  When we ultimately decided to purchase, we knew that Joanna was the agent we wanted to represent us and that ended up being a fantastic decision.

Joanna's best attributes throughout the process were her diligence and personality.  She was always able to be reached, via phone, text or e-mail, even when she went on vacation.  Throughout the entire home buying process, Joanna was able to keep the atmosphere light while also always giving exceptional advice.  The other attribute that I really appreciated about Joanna was that she was able to adjust to what we needed in an agent.  She clearly could have printed out lists of houses that she thought would be good for us and held our hands as she guided us through the process.  I'm sure she does that with some clients.  However, I very much wanted to be an active part of the search and negotiation so she did an exceptional job of allowing me to be me, just with her trained oversight.

Ultimately the home buying process had its expected ups and downs.  There were some professionals that we encountered who were very difficult to work with and some extremely unfortunate pit falls.  In the end, Joanna was by our side the entire time and made the process a whole lot easier.  Joanna continues to keep in touch with us and we would certainly recommend her to others and use her again in the future.
